High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Zareh Sinanyan received Hayk (Olivier) Chahbazian, Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs in France’s Île-de-France region and Co-Founder and Co-Chair of ODARIF.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the potential of the Armenian community in Île-de-France, the activities of community organizations, and opportunities to develop more structured ties with Armenia.

The discussions focused on expanding the engagement of the Armenian community in France, strengthening Armenia–Diaspora cooperation, and exploring opportunities for collaboration through cultural, educational, and civic initiatives aimed at preserving Armenian identity and strengthening the younger generation’s connection to its Armenian heritage.

The parties emphasized the importance of fostering continuous dialogue between Armenian diaspora organizations and state institutions in Armenia to identify opportunities for joint initiatives, better understand community needs, and effectively engage the potential of the Armenian diaspora in Armenia’s development.
