High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II led by His Beatitude Archbishiop Sahak II Mashalian, Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople attended the Supreme Spiritual Council meeting at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. After the holy communion, the Commissioner welcomed Archbishop Sahak Mashalyan for the first time since the election, who he addressed his wishes and wished peace and revival to the spiritual life of Armenians in Istanbul. Then Zareh Sinanyan delivered a report entitled "The New Vision of the Development of Armenia-Diaspora Relations and the Important Role of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Implementing It". The Commissioner first presented new directions for work with the Diaspora, office plans, key functions, and then reflected on the role of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the Diaspora. “In our office programs, we place special emphasis on cooperation with the Armenian Apostolic Church. Our dioceses and the Armenian Church in the Diaspora are doing an incredible job, and during my visits I have witnessed the solid community unity around the church, " stated Zareh Sinanyan in his speech. Then the attendees referred their questions and suggestions to the Commissioner.
