The situation in the Artsakh-Azerbaijani conflict zone has remained relatively stable and tense for the past couple of days.  

The adversary continued shelling peaceful civilian settlements, mainly targeting the region of Martuni and the villages in the upper sub-region of Askeran.

Shushi was shelled with a "Smerch" rocket launcher system. One civilian was killed and two others were wounded. Three rescuers were injured during the humanitarian mission, after the rocket attack on the city.

Smerch rockets also hit the capital city of Stepanakert, targeting the maternity hospital. 

As a result of the offensive carried by the Defense Army, firing points located deep behind enemy lines were destroyed.

The Air Defense Forces of the Defense Army destroyed the “Bayraktar” attack drone. The Artsakh Defense Army units continue to vigorously accomplish combat missions, keeping the operational and tactical situation under control.

Military operations took place in the southern region, in the direction of the frontline from Berdzor to the shores of the Araks River; the Armed Forces managed to improve certain positions. 

Azerbaijan actively continues to carry out subversive penetration attempts, and to target peaceful civilian settlements. In the current situation, operations to identify and destroy hostile groups are underway.
