High Commissioner met with Aram Sargsyan, the minister of urban development of the Republic of Artsakh

During his mission to Artsakh, High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan met with Aram Sargsyan, the minister of urban development of the Republic of Artsakh. The minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Mesrop Arakelyan, the acting chairman of the Urban Development Committee Armen Ghularyan and Chief of Staff of our Office, Sara Anjargolian, Advisor to the President of Artsakh for Diaspora Affairs Azatoohi Simonyan also took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, the housing programs in Artsakh were discussed, noting that there are up to ten thousand displaced families from Artsakh that are currently in need of housing. The High Commissioner emphasized that the purpose of the visit is to get more acquainted with the situation and the most urgent needs to be presented to the Diaspora, and to effectively involve the latter in the development of Artsakh. The parties stressed that the construction of housing facilities should start immediately.
The parties agreed to continue the cooperation with the Armenian communities of the Diaspora for the reconstruction and development of the villages and cities of Artsakh.
Zareh Sinanyan accompanied by Aram Sargsyan visited prefabricated wooden houses.
