For the first time, High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan visited the Armenian communities of Ural, particularly Tyumen.
The leader of the local community, Abraham Hoveyan, introduced the High Commissioner to the city’s most famous Armenian centers. There are two Armenian cultural centers in Tyumen, where 500 children learn Armenian and Armenian history, creating and leading active cultural lives.
The dance ensemble "Nairi", composed of 200 young dancers, is known throughout the city. The Armenian community is recognized for its large-scale activities, effective work with local authorities and Armenian cultural preservation and development.
Mr. Zareh Sinanyan also visited the St. Mesrop Mashtots Church and met with representatives of the Armenian community.
