In Boston, High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan met with representatives of the Armenian International Women’s Association (AIWA), headed by founder and director Barbara Merguerian. The High Commissioner first provided information regarding the current situation in Armenia, followed by an extensive overview of all Office programs.

AIWA members suggested many of their programs for participation, particularly organizational leadership courses for Armenian women. Nina Festekjian, co-founder of the Armenian Art Fair initiative, presented the World Armenian Cultural Program, which aims to bring together Armenian artists from all over the world in Armenia. They expressed readiness to closely cooperate with our Office moving forward, and the meeting concluded with a reiteration of the joint work to come and an upcoming virtual meeting.
