During his visit to the United States, High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan met with representatives of the Armenian Educational Foundation, headed by President Peter Baghdassarian. There were discussions around important educational initiatives tied to bringing together Diaspora educational organizations and holding a joint forum, providing scholarships to wounded servicemen and customs issues linked to charitable goods being sent from the Diaspora to Armenia. Foundation members also shared their programs and activities with the High Commissioner. Thanks to the AEF, 200 schools have been renovated and built in Armenia and Artsakh, and about 700 students were given the opportunity to continue their education and obtain scholarships.
