High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan's working visit to the United States involves meetings and discussions with numerous Diaspora professionals. During his meeting with the Armenian Medical International Committee (AMIC), the High Commissioner expressed gratitude to the organization’s medical professionals for their immense support during the war and pandemic. Together with AMIC, our Office organized both the delivery of medical supplies to Armenia at the start of the pandemic and facilitated more than 40 professional webinars. During the war, more than 70 doctors arrived in Armenia, and the flow of doctors continues until today. Committee Chairman Vicken Sepilian joined the meeting virtually and noted the importance of establishing close relations with the RA Ministry of Health. Meeting attendees touched upon utilizing the Diaspora’s professional potential in Armenia and developing the healthcare sector in the country. The doctors also voiced a number of issues they face when transporting medical equipment to Armenia for humanitarian purposes.
