iGorts Diaspora Professionals Travel to Lori Region
18 July 2021
This week, Diaspora Armenian professionals from our iGorts 2020 program went on a two-day excursion to the Lori region. Alongside taking in the scenic landscape, they visited various historic Armenian churches - Sanahin, Haghpat and Odzun.
The professionals also toured the Hovhannes Tumanyan House-Museum in the village of Dsegh before heading over to COAF Smart Center located near Debed village, where they spent a night at COAF Concept Hotel. The trip concluded with a fascinating tour of COAF - which plans to expand to become a multi-attraction location for both natives and tourists alike - and a visit to the town of Tumanyan to see the Tumanyan Matchbox Museum.
iGorts is a program implemented by the RA Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, which invites Diaspora professionals to work in Armenia’s public sector for a year.
