Step Toward Home Participants at Armenia's Most Scenic Locations

10 August 2021

Step Toward Home participants continue to discover Armenia. Last weekend, the Diaspora Armenian youth in the Step Toward Home program were divided into four groups and transported to different corners of Armenia to learn about everyday local life and Armenian traditions. The “Artsakh” team headed to the city of Noyemberyan in the northwest of Armenia. The participants visited Srbasar and witnessed the locals’ daily lives.

The tour was organized with the help of our partner World Vision Armenia.

On Monday, the participants headed to Dilijan, where they visited the Monte Melkonian Military College, as well as historical and cultural sites of Tavush.

At the end of the photo series, you can see the Step Toward Home participants in the classroom where they take educational courses and study Armenian language and history every morning.

Step Toward Home is a two-week educational program of the Republic of Armenia Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs. The entire educational component of the program is implemented by Teach For Armenia.
