Many Brazilian-Armenians want to repatriate; they obtain Republic of Armenia citizenship and connect with the homeland. During the meeting of High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan with the Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Brazil, Bishop Narek Berberyan, the parties discussed a number of issues relating to Brazilian-Armenians.

We hosted the spiritual leader in our Office, accompanied by a group of young Brazilian-Armenians who had traveled thousands of miles to arrive in the homeland. During the meeting, the guests emphasized the importance of maintaining active ties with Armenia through programs such as the iGorts program which places Diaspora Armenian professionals in the RA Government. The parties also touched upon opportunities for further cooperation.
