“Karo was our dream.” This is how High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan described the young Syrian-Armenian repatriate Karo Hovagimian, who sacrificed his life during the Second Artsakh War.

Karo’s relatives and friends have set up a foundation in his name, which will help children with disabilities, cerebral palsy, and other medical needs, as well as wounded soldiers. The hero’s family is sure that 20-year-old Karo, a future doctor, would have done the same.

RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan, Yerevan State Medical University Rector Armen Muradyan, and others were also present at the foundation’s opening.
