Diaspora Armenian professionals are serving in the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia as well. Mariana Shahinian, who came to Armenia from Argentina through the iGorts program, was personally welcomed to her new workplace by Emil Tarasyan, Chief of Staff to the President. Mr. Tarasyan noted the importance of integrating Diaspora Armenian professionals who bring new culture and experiences into the state administration system.

Mariana graduated from Argentina’s National University of La Matanza and University of Salvador with a degree in political science. In addition to her extensive experience in the public sector, she also worked in the Argentine Ministry of Justice.
