Free-of-Cost Hearing Aids for Participants of the Second Artsakh War

24 September 2021

During the 44-day war, many servicemen suffered from hearing issues caused by explosive weaponry. A new program funded by the USA-based Armenia Hearing Aid Project (AHAP) is underway to help process and deal with these issues. The program will be initiated by the Arabkir United Children's Charity Fund, Havat NGO for parents who have children with hearing disabilities and the surdological department at Arabkir Medical Cօmplex’s Institute of Child and Adolescent Health. It will be focused on studying the auditory sense of servicemen who participated in the recent Artsakh war, identifying problems, assessing needs and providing hearing aids.

With the support of AHAP and the Stark Foundation, Arabkir United Children’s Charity Fund has been active for the past four years in providing hearing aids to over 4,000 residents in Armenia and Artsakh. Early next month, these organizations will embark on a new mission to ensure that servicemen who participated in the 44-day war receive high-quality digital devices.

If you participated in the 44-day war and are in need of hearing aids, please respond to this post, send us a private message or email us at diaspora@gov.am so we can ensure you receive the proper support.
