New iGorts Participants Attend Interactive Orientation Session

Our Team held a full-day orientation session for iGorts 2021 participants.
Alongside discussing the administrative side of the program, our iGorts fellows were introduced to more in-depth topics surrounding social media presence and media etiquette, organized by our Office’s Media Team. In addition, our Office’s Expert in Diaspora Relations Margarita Baghdasaryan shared the Short Guide for Repatriation with participants, a brief yet extensive booklet to assist repatriates with any questions regarding their move to Armenia.
Vladimir Vardanyan, Chairman of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the RA National Assembly, presented Armenia’s government structure. Tatul Hakobyan, reporter and independent political analyst, then put today’s Armenia into context for our participants. One of the most important sessions of the day was about cultural shock and how to overcome it, where a few of our iGorts 2020 fellows joined for an insightful Q+A.
