Diaspora Youth Ambassador participants have been attending informational meetings from morning to evening for the past two days.

Participants spent their first day discussing political developments in Armenia with political scientist Eric Hacopian. Afterwards, Head of Management Advisory at Ameria Group Inc. Tigran Jrbashyan introduced participants to business relations between Armenia and the Diaspora. Hovhannes Aleksanyan, our Office’s Repatriation Coordinator, presented on repatriation and the current issues associated with moving to Armenia. In addition, participants independently developed projects that can help Diaspora Armenians return to their homeland.

Day two began at the RA National Assembly, where Diaspora Youth Ambassadors met with the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport, Sisak Gabrielyan. During the meeting, they discussed the draft law on repatriation. The visit to Matenadaran was one of the most informative parts of the day, after which participants met with business coach Nina Mehrabian. She spoke about the different methods for involving community members in the work of a diaspora organization.The day ended with an interactive talk with founder of the Skill Event Management and Marketing Company, Sergey Usnunts, who provided participants with invaluable advice for community event planning and organization.
