California State Senator Anthony Portantino is currently in Armenia on a working trip. Yesterday, the High Commissioner joined Senator Portantino along with the Senate Committee on Military and Veterans Affairs and the Senate Select Committee on California, Armenia, and Artsakh Mutual Trade, Art, and Cultural Exchange for a live discussion with Armenian American and Artsakh war veterans. Our Office is happy to welcome Senator Portantino and helped organize his visit to Armenia. The Senator represents one of the largest Armenian communities in the United States and has spent many years actively working with his staff and constituents to advance Armenian issues in California.
