The Diaspora Youth Ambassadors have had dozens of meetings

Diaspora Youth Ambassadors in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Sweden, Belgium, France and Great Britain had an online meeting with representatives from Teach for Armenia Foundation and school teachers from these Diaspora communities. During the meeting, they discussed the methodology for effective and innovative education and exchanged experience.

Diaspora Youth Ambassador in Germany Ani Galstian and Diaspora Youth Ambassador in Krasnodar Lusine Bayatyan organized a community event to present the reArmenia platform. The event was also attended by reArmenia CEO, Gevorg Poghosyan. reArmenia brings together the Armenian people’s four most important assets - knowledge, connections, professional experience and financial support. reArmenia representatives discussed consolidating the Diaspora’s potential and effectively completing their projects.

Diaspora Youth Ambassador in Sweden Inesa Rubinyan met with representatives of the Armenian Cultural Union of Uppsala and the charity organization, Support Armenia Fund (SAF). She presented the Diaspora Youth Ambassador program and discussed matters relevant to Sweden’s Armenian community.

In Georgia, Diaspora Youth Ambassador Emily Sargsyan met with representatives of the Samtskhe-Javakheti community and Youth Affairs Department of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia. During the meeting, attendees discussed our Office’s programs. They additionally discussed issues concerning the region’s ethnic minorities and potential solutions.

In Chita, Diaspora Youth Ambassador Harutyun Atoyan met with the parents of children attending the Mashtots Educational and Cultural Center. The meeting’s main discussion point was our Office’s activities and programs, as well as repatriation. The young ambassador also met with the community’s youth and emphasized increasing the involvement of young people in community life. A representative from the Birthright Armenia Foundation also joined the meeting and shared opportunities for volunteering in Armenia.

Diaspora Youth Ambassador in Ukraine Lilit Beglaryan and Diaspora Youth Ambassador in Georgia Emil Sargsyan also held meetings to inform the community about the Birthright Armenia program.

Diaspora Youth Ambassador in Yekaterinburg Lusine Ustyan discussed the topic of repatriation with Armenian students at various universities in the Ural region. Of particular interest was the iGorts program for Diaspora Armenian professionals to work in Armenia’s public sector. Lusine Ustyan also presented on the educational and exploratory Step Toward Home for Diaspora youth to local Armenian children, who can participate in the 14-day program this summer.

In Krasnoyarsk, Diaspora Youth Ambassador Armen Sargsyan organized a meeting with the community’s Brotherhood Union in a question-and-answer format with the participation of the famous historian, international affairs expert and publicist, Sarkis Tsaturyan.

Earlier, the Diaspora Youth Ambassador in Spain Sarkis Hakobyan took part in an event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Armenian Army at the Ayb school at the Ararat Armenian Union of Catalonia, which was also attended by Spanish MP Marta Rosique. The MP learned about the current situation in Artsakh and the possibilities of assistance.
