The first round of the Step Toward Home program is completed

08 July 2022

For the 120 participants of the first round of the educational and informative program Step Toward Home, this summer will be memorable. For the past 13 days, they lived in an area surrounded by the beautiful nature of Dilijan, visited the beautiful sights of Armenia, got introduced to various educational institutions, improved their Armenian language skills, learnt many national songs and dances, and made many new friends.

In these photos, our 13-18-year-old participants are visiting the following places: the House-museum of Hovhannes Tumanyan in Dsegh, the COAF Smart Center, Makaravank Monastery, and the Stepanavan Dendropark. But this is only a small part of the visits. The expenses of the program in Armenia are covered by the government of the Republic of Armenia. The second round begins on July 11. Due to the great support from the Teach for Armenia Foundation, the Monte Melkonian Lyceum, the Armenian General Benevolent Union, the American University of Armenia, and a number of other educational institutions and cultural centers, the program has been operating successfully.
