29 July 2022
On the second day of the World Conference of the Cypriot Diaspora, High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan gave a welcoming speech.
"I am honored to participate in the World Forum of the Cypriot Diaspora for the second time. The rich heritage that we share, the history of pain and loss, the pursuit of justice and peace, as well as our commitment to democratic values and principles - all of these create the potential for great cooperation between our countries in multiple areas. One of the directions we took recently to strengthen our ties was the Armenia-Cyprus-Greece memorandum on trilateral cooperation on Diaspora issues, signed in Greece a month ago," said Zareh Sinanyan.
In addition, Mr. Sinanyan highlighted the presence of great prospects for cooperation with the Cypriot diaspora, in particular, in the protection of shared interests and values in the global community, the creation of youth and professional networks, etc.
Representatives of Greece, Serbia, and Romania also gave welcoming speeches, mentioning the significance of establishing and mutually recognizing ties between the diasporas of different states during these conferences.
