The Step Toward Home program has concluded

21 August 2022

Throughout the summer, Step Toward Home participants enjoyed an unforgettable experience with Diaspora Armenians from all around the world. Step Toward Home is a two-week educational and informative program financed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia, aimed at the preservation and development of Armenian national identity among Diaspora youth aged 13 to 18.

This year, we received 400 participants from 18 countries who visited relevant historical, cultural, educational, and memorial sites such as Goshavank, Parz Lich, Garni, Geghard, Tumanyan Museum, Martiros Saryan House-Museum, AGBU, AUA, Yerablur, and many more places. The program also included courses such as Armenian language, Armenian history, and Armenian song and dance that were conducted by Teach For Armenia.

The Step Toward Home program just concluded its final and 4th round with 79 participants from Georgia, Russia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, Spain, Poland, France, Greece, and Austria.

We were happy to meet all these Diaspora Armenian teenagers, and we are already waiting for next year's participants.
