High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan participated in the 2021-2022 EU4IMPACT program, which supports the establishment of new businesses and the growth of already established businesses by labor and returning migrants and their family members. The program is implemented by the International Center for Migration Policy Development in Armenia (ICMPD Armenia).
The Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, EU Ambassador Andrea Victorin and the Head of the Office of the International Center for Migration Policy Development Carel Hofstra, also attended the event.
Fifty-nine beneficiaries from all regions of Armenia who received grants were given certificates of participation. The business ideas proposed by the beneficiaries are diverse and will be implemented in service provision, manufacturing, and agriculture.
"Each of us, regardless of where we live, wants to be in our homeland and fulfill our wishes. I am grateful to the organizers of the program and look forward to the program’s tangible results," said Zareh Sinanyan.
The project will continue until September 2024, and the deadline for the application is January 31st, 2023.
By applying for the program, beneficiaries will receive matching grants of 2,000 to 10,000 euros. Additionally, IRIS Business Incubator, an EU4IMPACT partner, will organize a business management course and provide ongoing business consultations to beneficiaries.
