This year, the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs will hold a first-of-its-kind Armenian National Youth Forum from August 1st to 3rd in Yerevan, Armenia. The Forum will gather 450 youth ages 18 to 35 from the Diaspora, Armenia, and Artsakh to engage them in Armenia’s development, connect them with one another, and empower them to expand their work and impact in their communities. The Forum will enable Armenian youth to identify shared priorities and work together to develop a roadmap for Armenia-Diaspora youth collaboration and cooperation.

Youth organizations and young professionals active in their Armenian communities, engaged with Diaspora-Armenia relations, and eager to work on projects of shared interest will be invited to attend. In addition to invitations, Diaspora youth will be able to submit an application of interest if they would like to participate in the Armenian National Youth Forum.

"Cooperation among Diaspora and Armenia youth should be based on mutual understanding, transparency, support, and trust. The Forum will have a dynamic format, allowing attendees to improve their soft skills, develop youth-led initiatives, combine efforts, and create the necessary mechanisms and tools for collaboration," stated High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of supporting Diaspora youth leadership and their initiatives, strengthening cooperative relations with youth organizations of other countries, and expanding the opportunities for Diaspora youth engagement in Armenia.

The Forum will be interactive, empowering, and engaging, with an agenda comprising panel and round table discussions, presentations, networking opportunities, cultural programs, exhibitions, and more. 

Proposals discussed during the Forum will serve as the strategic basis for future Diaspora-Armenia youth programs and initiatives.
