On his working visit to the United States, High Commissioner Sinanyan visited the Armenian community in Houston, Texas. Mr. Sinanyan toured the historic town of Brookshire where Armenian families such as the Donigians (Donigan) and Highrabedians settled in the late 1800s and became prominent members of the county.

Mr. Sinanyan also visited St. Kevork Armenian Apostolic Church and the St. Kevork Armenian School, where he met with the school leadership. Later he visited the Armenian Genocide memorial on the church grounds which was donated by the Saxenian family.

Later that evening, the High Commissioner took part in a community meeting organized by the Parish Council, where he presented our Office’s activities and discussed the political, and socio-economic situation in Armenia and Artsakh.
