Diaspora Youth Ambassadors visited the European College

The participants of our office's program «Diaspora Youth Ambassador» for 2021-2022: Lusine Ustyan (Russia), Lilit Beglaryan (Ukraine), Karen Muradyan (Belarus) and the program's participant for 2022-2023, Mher Saribekyan (USA), visited the European College of Armenia.
Emphasizing the importance of direct communication of students with representatives of various fields in the educational process, the college periodically organizes such meetings. The «Diaspora Youth Ambassador» program participants received an invitation to this meeting from the Deputy Director of the College for External Relations, Suzanna Khachatryan.
These young Armenians of the Diaspora presented the program «Diaspora Youth Ambassador», the purpose of which is to enable the youth of the Diaspora to expand their understanding of the political, social, economic and other problems of Armenia to promote their greater involvement in community life through the transfer of new knowledge and skills, to promote the creation of links between youth representing various communities of the Diaspora, as well as youth in Armenia and Artsakh. They also shared their experience working in Diaspora organizations, thereby contributing to expanding students' ideas about the Diaspora.
During the meeting, they also talked about the current programs of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, as well as answered questions in the format of a dialogue regarding the opportunities for studying abroad within the framework of exchange programs, the peculiarities of Armenian communities in different countries, programs aiming at strengthening Armenia-Diaspora cooperation, and repatriation.
In their speech, our Youth Ambassadors stressed the importance of unity and expressed their readiness to contribute in every possible way to interesting student initiatives.
