The High Commissioner spoke at the European Economic Forum

High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan participated as a speaker at the European Economic Forum, which is taking place in Poland this year, hosting 4000 participants. The High Commissioner participated in the panel discussion entitled “The Policy of States Towards Their Diasporas and Mutual Relations”, alongside the Director of the Lithuanian state’s Global Lithuania Department Lina Žukauskaitė. The panel was moderated by Poland’s Government Plenipotentiary for the Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad, Secretary of State Jan Dziedziczak.

The first Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs in a foreign country has been appointed

The appointment of Commissioners for Diaspora Affairs in foreign countries has begun. By the decision of RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the Director of the Polish-Armenian Foundation Diana Hovakimyan has been appointed as the Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs in Poland, serving as an advisor on a volunteer basis.

Meeting with representatives of the Language Committee

A meeting took place with the Acting Chairman of the Republic of Armenia’s Language Committee Gevorg Hakobyan in the High Commissioner of Diaspora Affairs’s Repatriation and Integration Center. Also represented at the meeting was the “Big Mind” educational center, which implements Armenian language courses for repatriates financed and coordinated by the Repatriation and Integration Center.

THE STEP TOWARD HOME PROGRAM HAS CONCLUDED

The "Step Toward Home'' 2023 educational program for Diaspora-Armenian youth has come to an end. This year, the program took place from June 5 to August 26, in 6 phases, hosting 600 young people aged 13-18 from 25 countries. The goal of the project is the preservation and development of Armenian identity among Diaspora youth.
