Medical Care
According to Article 85 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, everyone, including a foreign national, has the right to health care in accordance with the law.
Medical care and service providers in the Republic of Armenia are obliged to provide emergency first aid to any person (including a foreign national), regardless of their ability to pay.
Additionally, childbirth and the medical care of all citizens under the age of 18 are provided free of charge. Furthermore, there are multiple programs in place to help those in financial need access necessary medical treatment.
Hospitals and medical centers in Armenia
As of 2018, there are 102 hospitals in Armenia, out of which, 44 are located in the capital city of Yerevan. For a list of Yerevan’s hospitals and medical institutions, click here. You can also search for specialists and hospitals at doctors.am.
Register at your local polyclinic
Most people choose to either register at a local polyclinic or with private clinics for primary health concerns. Public polyclinics will offer much of its services for free.

To register,
- Find your nearest polyclinic
- Go to the clinic with your passport and SSN
- Sign a contract with the polyclinic, marking you their patient
