Arevik Markaryan
Greetings!
I am Arevik Markaryan from St. Petersburg. I hold a PhD in Sociology (political sociology) from the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA).
Graduated from St. Petersburg State University (Sociology of Political and Social Processes), Master's degree from the State Engineering University of Armenia with a specialization in Industrial Sociology (diploma with honors) and a bachelor's degree with a qualification in the sociology of organizations and psychology of management (diploma with honors).
I also have a second higher education - Finance and banking.
I have more than 17 years of professional experience in research, analytics, communications and project management in various business fields, including more than 6 years in the field of energy, particularly nuclear energy. During my time working in these fields, I have coordinated many projects in three main directions:
GR (Government Relations) - Interaction with the state, in particular, promotion and protection of interests and positive image of the company in state institutions and public organizations, as well as implementation of projects in relevant departments and ministries.
BD (Business Deveopment)- Implementation and development of new business areas, coordination of new directions of business and their integration within the main framework of the company, formation and creation of a long-term model of strategic development..
IS (Innovation Scouting) - Innovation scouting (industrial technologies and commercialization of innovative products). Search for innovations in priority areas (nuclear power, pulp and paper production, oil and gas industry, metallurgy), information collection on analogues, case studies and portfolio management of accumulated business ideas.
I also have more than 13 years of research and teaching experience at one of the leading universities in the Russian Federation. I have written more than 30 scientific papers, including two monographs, one of which is devoted to the interaction between business and government in transitional societies in a comparative perspective of Armenia and Russia. In 2014, it was recognized as the "Best Scientific Work” by the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.
Now I work at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, where I am involved in the development of a long-term strategy to prepare for Armenia’s transition to a green economy, as well as the concept of developing electric transportation.
