Serine Avetisyan
Hi! I was born and raised in Armenia. Over the past decade, I was educated in a number of European countries.
I hold a Specialist Diploma in Teaching English from Yerevan State Linguistic University in Armenia, along with a joint Master of Science degree in Clinical Linguistics from a consortium of three universities - University of Potsdam in Germany, University of Groningen in The Netherlands and University of Eastern Finland in Finland. Currently, I am working toward completing my PhD in Psycholinguistics at University of Potsdam․
As an iGorts fellow, I am placed at the Education Inspectorate of the Republic of Armenia, where we aim to develop and implement a study in public schools that will assess the reading comprehension of 4th graders and find out the factors that cause poor reading skills.
