Mikayel Khanbekyan
I am Mikayel Khanbekyan, a physicist from Greifswald, Germany.
I graduated from Yerevan State University’s Physics department, then moved abroad to pursue my career as a scientist. I obtained a Master's degree from Boston University in the United States, and a PhD with magna cum laude from Friedrich-Schiller-University in ”City of Light '' Jena, Germany.
I carried out physics research in leading centers in Germany, such as Otto-von-Guericke University of Magdeburg, Technical University of Berlin and the University of Rostock. Currently, as part of the iGorts program, I work at the Science Committee of the Republic of Armenia, where I initiate and realize various programs aimed at fostering the development of science in Armenia.
I enjoy hiking and playing rugby. I play the violin in my spare time.
