Leonardo Moumdjian
Leonardo Moumdjian has a degree in Communication Sciences and is a journalist focused on International Analysis.
He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, studied at Jrimian Armenian College, and spent his time developing different activities within the Armenian community.
Among his latest and most relevant work, he covered the 44-day Nagorno Karabakh War in 2020 as a War Correspondent.
He broadcasted the events in the South Caucasus for 55 days on the Facebook Live platform, reporting for the Armenian newspaper and the Sardarabad Weekly of Argentina.
In 2016 Leonardo traveled with Telefe Noticias (the most-rated news channel in Argentina) team to televise Pope Francis' tour in Armenia and the 4-Day War. This war transmission had him included on a Blacklist drawn up by the Azerbaijan Ministry of Foreign Affairs for exposing what happened in Artsakh.
He covered many international events in the US, Madrid, Havana, Cartagena de Indias, Yerevan, Istanbul, Saint Petersburg, and Moscow. He also visited and reported on the harsh situation in the refugee camps of Ritsona, Greece, during the midst of the European migration crisis.
He is currently the Director and Host of the radio program «Ayres de Armenia, which has celebrated its 10th anniversary on Argentinian radio. He has also been hosting and directing a television program called «Weekend» for the last five years, which is conducted by four Armenian professionals.
He has also become a teacher in subjects such as Communication and Radio at San Gregorio El Iluminador High School in Argentina.
