Liana Minasyan was born in Russia, in the city of Vladikavkaz. She moved to Armenia in 2022 from Moscow. She has been to Armenia and Artsakh many times on business trips, but none of her family members have lived here – her entire family is from the Diaspora: from Mush, from Gandzak, from Tiflis.
She graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow University and worked as a journalist, columnist, and editor in large media organizations in Russia. Her area of interest is mainly the South Caucasus, Armenia, and Artsakh. She has been covering events in the region since 1988, since the beginning of the Movement.
When not working, she travels for pleasure and runs a travel blog.
«My area of interest here is new media as a new format for the existence of mass media and digital globalization in general.»
