Despite her long absence, she periodically returned to her homeland and considered the main task in life to develop art in Armenia through the exchange of experience and interaction. In 2019, she organized a large international film laboratory in Dilijan with artists and directors from 16 countries. She has always believed that experiments and joint projects can change our reality.
In 2020, she came to Armenia to shoot the film «Seagulls» directed by Lilit Movsisyan, but the war changed all her plans, and she stayed here with great faith and responsibility for change.
Mariam considers the iGorts program an exceptional opportunity to be of use to the country as much as possible within a large team of professional repatriates during this country's difficult time.
