Roubina Karhily
Roubina Karhily is a Public Health professional from Lebanon. She has a Master of Public Health Degree with an emphasis on Health Management and Policy and a BS in Biology (Minor in Psychology) from the American University of Beirut.
Roubina was involved in various administrative and community activities throughout her career. She was an Instructor/Lecturer, Assistant to the Program Director, and Undergraduate/Graduate Internship Coordinator (2012-2022) in the Department of Public Health, Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS), at the University of Balamand, Lebanon. She has worked with several Armenian Primary Health Care Centers in Lebanon to prepare them for accreditation by Accreditation Canada International. She also acted as a Research Assistant at the Hamad Medical Corporation’s Smoking Cessation Program, in Qatar, in 2011.
Due to the dire economic crisis in Lebanon, Roubina was repatriated to Armenia and joined the iGorts program, working at the Ministry of Health. She has a great interest in healthcare systems and management, primary health care, quality control, accreditation, and health education and promotion.
She hopes that her background and experience give added value to the healthcare system of Armenia by pushing forward much needed healthcare reforms.
