Michael Zakyan is from Egypt. He learned the Armenian language at Kalousdyan National Armenian school in Cairo. He got his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, specializing in Management, from the Modern Academy in Cairo. Michael studied and passed the Certificate of Compliance, which is accredited by the International Compliance Association, with merit. He took a couple of courses at the American University in Cairo, such as Public Relations, HR, and Management. He started his career in the financial sector firstly in HSBC Egypt as a customer service officer, and then shifted to the compliance field and worked for Souq.com, which is owned by Amazon as a compliance specialist.

He loves cycling, jogging, exploring new venues, diving, snorkeling, traveling, food, and making new friends.

Currently, he's planning to continue his studies in anti-money laundering and financial crime prevention, accredited by the ICA.
