Ginush Arakelyan
My name is Ginush Arakelyan and I was born in Armenia. Since 1994 onwards, I have been living in Barcelona, Spain.
My educational background is in Arts and Design (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Escola Massana, 2010-2014), and I have a Master's degree in Cinematography from Universitat de Barcelona, ESCAC, 2015. I have gained significant professional experience in the film and music video industry, where I have worked as an Art Director.
Growing up in Barcelona, I faced the challenge of not having access to an Armenian school in the area. Despite this limitation, my parents played a crucial role in immersing me in our culture's traditions, values, and language.
In 2010, I discovered that there was a vibrant Armenian community in Barcelona centered around the Armenian Cultural Association of Barcelona. It was a remarkable turning point in my life, as I eagerly joined this community, seeking to further immerse myself in our shared culture.
Since 2011, I have served as a council member of the association and actively participate in the organization of cultural, social, promotional, and sporting events.
In addition, I have also had the opportunity to live in Armenia and work in the media field, making one of my childhood dreams come true. In these years, I have witnessed firsthand the strength and determination of our people.
Representing Spain in the Diaspora Youth Ambassador Program, I have a great desire to learn and work alongside other dedicated youth who share the same passion for our nation to address the challenges of our communities and develop innovative solutions.
