Emil Petrosyan
My name is Emil Petrosyan. I have been living in Seville, the capital of Andalusia in Spain for 19 years.
I graduated from Seville’s Macarena School and received the graduation diploma from the King of Spain.
In order to carry on my grandfather's profession, I was accepted into the Open Alternative Association of the Council of Andalusia and successfully completed a three-year course on Carpentry and Furniture Repair, which was organized by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science.
In 2020, I graduated from the Salvador Tavora Higher Educational Institution and received the title of senior technician in the field of tourism accommodation.
From the 2021-2022 soccer season, I was the adapter and official translator for Varazdat Haroyan, the captain of the Armenian national soccer team.
On December 26, 2019, the Armenian community of Seville "Erebuni" was established, and since then I have been a member of the community council, although I have been constantly involved in Armenian issues.
Through great efforts, in 2022, our community allowed us to create the long-awaited Sunday School after Mesrop Mashtots.
During these years, I have never forgotten our mother tongue, preserved our traditions, our religion, and traditions, and represented them among foreign nations.
By participating in the "Diaspora Youth Ambassador" program, I hope to gain new knowledge, skills, and experiences from my friends. My goal is to serve the community and help solve the problems faced by the Spanish-Armenian community, while also implementing our planned goals.
I am prepared to support and contribute to the important task of preserving national identity in our community. This task is challenging due to globalization and integration in foreign countries, as it becomes difficult to maintain one's nationality, language, and culture. I can assure you that one of the most significant challenges is keeping Armenian youth connected to their roots.
