Ruzanna Avagyan
I was born in the town of Ashtarak in Armenia. When I was 6 years old, we moved to Russia.
I graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Saint Petersburg State University of Economics, with a specialization in “Rights and Law”. I began my law career at the age of 20, working at a large international consulting firm. Today I work on various entrepreneurial projects and manage my own initiatives.
For more than 3 years, I have been engaged in the public sphere to develop and strengthen relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation.
In 2020, I became an activist in the Saint Petersburg Regional Youth Association. One year later I was elected to the Association’s Executive Board, and since 2021, I have been the Creative Manager.
In 2022, I was awarded with a certificate of appreciation by the Saint Petersburg Government for supporting collaboration between Saint Petersburg and the Republic of Armenia.
Since 2023, I have been the manager of “Our Work”, Saint Petersburg’s first Armenian philanthropic foundation.
As part of the Diaspora Youth Ambassador Program, I have set a goal for myself to forward the interests of Armenia beyond its borders, publicize Armenian culture in non-Armenian environments, and strengthen ties between Armenia and Saint Petersburg.
