Kristina Aleksanyan
My name is Kristina Aleksanyan. I was born and raised in Russia, in the city of Tver. This year, I graduated from Tver State Medical University with a degree in pediatrics and I am going to enroll in residency. I have always had strong ties with Armenia, but I have not always had enough knowledge of the language, traditions, and solidarity with my compatriots. That is why, from the very first day of studying at the university, I began to cooperate with compatriots and participate in various national events. Being open to everything new and having a desire to be part of the Armenian community, I decided to become a member of the Armenian community of our city. Now I am a member of the Urartu Youth Association of the Ararat Armenian National Cultural Autonomy in Tver. I participate in various events in our community.
Thanks to this, I was able to get to know the history of Armenia more deeply, improved my knowledge of the language and, most importantly, got to know people with whom we had common interests with.
I think that participation in the Diaspora Youth Ambassador Program will help me expand the horizons of our community, strengthen ties between Armenia and our community, and attract more people and be closer to our homeland.
