Aram Voskanyan
Aram Voskanyan is a highly accomplished individual with a diverse background.Born in Yerevan and having lived in Moscow for many years, he holds qualifications in both political science/international relations and economics. He completed his education at the Russian Peoples' Friendship University and the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry, earning a PhD in political science.
Throughout his career, Aram has been involved in various fields. Prior to his participation in the iGorts program and his return to Armenia, he served as a media advisor to the Ambassador at the RA Embassy to Russia. In addition to his role, he shared his expertise by teaching courses such as "political communication," "modern information-communication society," and "international relations actors" at three universities in Moscow. He also gained experience as a journalist and editor in several Russian media outlets.
Since 2009, Aram Voskanyan has served as the Vice President of the Armenian United Nations Association. In this role, he has successfully managed numerous projects focused on implementing and monitoring the Millennium Development Goals and Sustainable Development Goals in Armenia, as well as addressing migration management and community development.
Aram is internationally recognized as a qualified trainer in areas such as confidence-building measures, negotiation and communication, human rights, and the theory of change.
His expertise extends to academia, with 14 academic articles to his name, covering topics related to political communication, civil society, and media literacy.
Since September 2023, Aram Voskanyan has taken on a new role in the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs.
