Marina Sarkisian was born and raised in Moscow.

In 2019, she graduated from the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics with a degree in Finance and Credit.

During her studies, she led two Armenian youth organizations - the Union of Armenian Youth of the Russian University of Economics and the Association of Armenian Youth of Moscow.

In 2018, thanks to her social activities, she completed an internship in Geneva at the UN Office for Human Rights, and also took part in the annual forum at which she presented the rights and problems of the Armenian national minority in Russia.

In 2019, she attended the Diaspora Young Leaders School conducted by the Ministry of Diaspora.

In 2018, she created the telegram channel "Armenian Diaspora Calendar," covering the events of the Armenian communities.

Within the framework of the "iGorts " program, her workplace is at the Repatriation and Integration Center of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
