Effie Karadjian
Prior to joining the "iGorts" program, Effi Karajian immersed herself in entrepreneurship, pioneering innovative strategies within the realm of business. She is a visionary marketing professional hailing from Toronto, Canada, where she co-founded businesses in PR and concierge services, as well as within the wellness industries.
With a wealth of experience in marketing strategy and event management, Effie's leadership has propelled her to the forefront of the industry and she has championed initiatives that empower women in business and leadership roles.
Following the 44-day war in 2020, Effie made the decision to return to Armenia, determined to contribute her skills and expertise to its revitalization.
With a background in community development and a heart for social impact, she hopes to contribute her efforts to promoting cultural preservation and encourage repatriation of fellow Armenians from the Diaspora.
Through her work, she also strives to cultivate a more equitable society where the talents and perspectives of women are fully recognized and leveraged to tackle Armenia's most pressing issues.
As an iGorts fellow, Effie is working as a Cultural Events manager for the Municipality of Gyumri, as well as she is developing initiatives which will increase local and international tourism to the Cultural Capital of Armenia.
Effie's participation in the iGorts program is made possible by the funding provided by the H. Hovnanian Family Foundation.
