My name is Suren Zakaryan. I was born and raised in Minsk.

I’m studying at Minsk State Linguistic University in the specialty “Linguist/translator (interpreter).”

In 2018, I first became acquainted with the Armenian local public school, and in 2019 I joined the ranks of “Miasin” activists, which is the youth wing of the Minsk city Armenian cultural and educational society “Ayastan”. From that moment on my journey began as an activist and public figure in the “Minsk” community, where at first I began organizing literary evenings. Later he participated in the organization of many events, such as the “Miasin” youth festival, charity fundraisers to help Artsakh during the 2020 war, charity tournaments and evenings dedicated to the holidays of the Motherland, famous cultural figures and historical figures.

In 2020, I joined the folklore dance ensemble “Erebuni”, with which I participated in many international festivals and concerts.

In 2022, I created and implemented the “Unravel Armenia” project within the framework of which I attracted Armenian youth from Belarusian universities to community activities, creating an image and popularizing Armenia among Belarusians.

At the moment I am the head of the international relations department and concurrently the deputy chairman of the youth wing of our community.

As a Diaspora Youth Ambassador I stand ready to exert every possible effort for more fruitful cooperation between the Diaspora and Armenia, so that Armenia becomes a better version of itself.
