Gayane Ghazaryan
Gayane Ghazaryan (Bayatyan) is a fashion and costume designer, culturologist, and linguist, originally from Armenia and later based in Russia. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics from Yerevan State University of Languages and Social Sciences after V. Brusov, a Master’s Degree in Cultural Studies, and another Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design from the Krasnodar State Institute of Culture. Since 2015, she has served as a Council member of the Armenian Church Youth Organization for the Krasnodar and North Caucasus Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
Over the years, Gayane has worked as the costume designer for the film Arshaluys at HAYK Film Company and taught fashion history courses in Russia. She also worked as a set costumer for Jivan Avetisyan’s film Revival in Armenia.
In 2022, Gayane returned to Armenia through the Birthright Armenia program. As part of this program, she collaborated with the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022, the Fashion and Garment Chamber of Armenia, and contributed to the AGBU Katapult Pavilion.
Gayane's fashion brand, BAYATYAN, has presented two collections inspired by Armenian architecture and the life of Sergey Parajanov. Her work was featured at Yerevan Fashion Week in both 2023 and 2024, where she was a finalist in the Fashion Scout Armenia competition for emerging designers. She also took part in the Parajanov and Fashion exhibition in 2024 and is currently involved in Creative Armenia’s Artbox program.
