Armen Abelyan
Armen Abelyan was born in Yerevan and grew up in the United States. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from California State University. As an accountant, he worked for a forensic accounting firm in Los Angeles and later served as a Senior Auditor for small and medium-sized enterprises at the IRS (Internal Revenue Service).
A few years later, Armen was recruited by the Department of the Treasury in a law enforcement capacity as a Criminal Investigator. He then started his own consulting practice, specializing in tax matters with the federal government.
In 2024, he earned a Master of Science degree in International Management with a focus on Sustainability Systems. Armen also interned as a consultant for the Armenia Tree Project, working on SDG-related grants, consulted for an NGO in Athens, Greece, that provided services to vulnerable populations, and advised the Environment, Science, and Technology Committee of the Ghanaian Parliament.
