Anzhela Grigoryan

My name is Anzhela Grigoryan. I am 21 years old and live in Yekaterinburg, Russia, where I represent the “Ani–Armenia” Armenian community. I am currently a fourth-year student in the Faculty of Journalism at Ural Federal University.
Since 2022, I have been actively involved in Yekaterinburg’s Armenian community. Our organization focuses on preserving cultural traditions, running educational initiatives, and organizing national and religious events. I play an active role in planning and implementing these initiatives, managing our social media presence, strengthening community ties, and fostering cooperation with other cultural organizations.
At university, I served for two years as Vice President for Cultural Affairs, organizing student events to promote intercultural dialogue. I have also participated in training programs, ethnographic expeditions, and lectures in Moscow, and contributed to materials for the “National Accent” portal.
My academic interests focus on interethnic relations and the preservation of cultural heritage. In 2024, I was recognized as a diploma winner in the nationwide competition “Challenge – 21st Century” in the category “Portrait of a Contemporary” for my coverage of regional cultural events.
For me, participating in the Diaspora Youth Ambassador program is a unique opportunity to represent Armenian culture with pride, strengthen ties across diaspora communities, and foster intercultural dialogue. I am committed to preserving and sharing Armenian traditions by presenting them to younger generations in engaging and accessible ways. I am confident that this program will be an important step in advancing both my professional and civic goals.
