Yeva Hovsepyan

My name is Yeva Hovsepyan. I was born in Yerevan and lived there until I was fourteen. Living away from my homeland gave me a deeper appreciation of my culture—it was distance and longing that helped me fall in love with Armenia, with our language and script, all over again.
I am currently studying French literature and culture at the University of Warsaw. Art and people have always been at the heart of my life. Over the years, I have worked with a variety of organizations, from programs supporting migrants to initiatives promoting women’s safety. Today, I continue my journey at the Grand Theatre – National Opera in Warsaw, where I meet people every day who come to experience the magic of music and the stage. This environment constantly reminds me that art has the power to bring people together, regardless of age, background, or history.
In my free time, I practice analog photography. At nineteen, I held my first solo exhibition entitled Czułość / Tenderness. Photography, along with literature and the performing arts, is for me not only a form of expression but also a bridge between people.
As a participant in the Diaspora Youth Ambassador program, I aim to strengthen the ties between Armenia and the Diaspora through art. I believe art can be one of the most powerful tools for fostering mutual understanding and solidarity across cultures and societies. My goal is to help bring Armenia and the Diaspora closer together through art and cultural cooperation, creating dialogue that can open new opportunities for the future.
