Jevgenija Harutjunjana

My name is Jevgenija Harutjunjana, and I was born and raised in Riga, Latvia, in a traditional Armenian family. From an early age, I was immersed in the Armenian language, culture, and traditions, which gave me a strong sense of connection to my ancestral homeland while also allowing me to integrate fully into Latvian society.
I hold a diploma from the College of Fashion and Fine Arts and am currently completing my studies in Graphic Design at the Art Academy of Latvia. My education has helped me develop both creative and analytical skills, which I aim to apply to strengthening cultural identity and fostering intercultural understanding.
Beyond my studies, I have been actively involved in the Armenian community of Latvia. As a member of the Armenian Unity of Latvia, I help plan and coordinate cultural and community initiatives, including events that bring people together and promote cooperation within the community. This work has further strengthened my organizational and communication skills and given me valuable experience in collaborative projects.
It is both a privilege and an honor for me to serve as a Diaspora Youth Ambassador. I see this role as a responsibility as well as an opportunity to inspire Armenian youth to preserve their language, culture, and traditions, while also encouraging dialogue and exchange with Latvians and other communities.
Together with my fellow ambassadors, I am committed to building stronger ties between Armenia and its global diaspora, ensuring that our shared heritage continues to be a source of unity, pride, and future growth.
