Areg Farishyan

My name is Areg Farishyan, I am 25 years old and currently live in Maykop, Russian Federation, where I was born and raised. From an early age, I was raised with a strong sense of Armenian identity and the importance of preserving our national values.
I grew up within Maykop’s Armenian community, actively participating in community life and continuing the initiatives of my parents. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Banking from Adyghe State University and a Master’s degree in Tourism Management.
Since 2017, I have served as the head of the Union of Armenian Youth in Maykop, where one of our main priorities is building partnerships with Armenian youth organizations across other Russian cities.
In addition to my community work, I have built a professional career at Sberbank, where for over five years I have been recognized among the top managers. In this role, I am responsible for driving business development and expanding the company’s ecosystem.
As the Diaspora Youth Ambassador representing the Republic of Adygea in the Russian Federation, my goal is to strengthen connections among Armenians across different cities and countries. I am confident that my experience, skills, and commitment will allow me to contribute meaningfully to the Program and to the work of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
