Naregh Galoustian
Naregh Galoustian was born in Paris and lived in Tehran before moving to Milan at the age of four, where he spent most of his life. He later worked in Toronto before relocating to Yerevan in 2017 and then to Barcelona in 2019.
Naregh holds an HBA in History and Political Science from the University of Toronto, where he was actively involved in cultural and social justice initiatives. His work included leading film festivals focused on cultural dialogue and human rights, as well as writing journal articles on post-colonial literature.
He went on to work for several years in media development, where he designed, fundraised for, and implemented projects across Africa, the Caribbean, Eurasia, the Middle East, and South Asia. His work has supported the empowerment of marginalized communities through strengthened independent media and increased public awareness around good governance and human rights, particularly in areas such as access to information, education, culture, and mental health support.
